JAPANESE LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Program Objective
This course offers you enjoyable and practical Japanese language lessons and a great opportunity to experience Japanese life and culture.
Japanese Language
We will provide Japanese language lessons (Basic& Elementary, Oral Communication) for 2 weeks: July 29th (Monday) to August 9th (Friday), 2013. Each lesson takes 50 minutes, with 3 lessons each morning for a total of 15 hours (21 classes) of Japanese lessons.
Cultural Programs
Three afternoons during the course, you will participate in one of the cultural programs of your choice (Tea ceremony and Japanese food, Japanese calligraphy, Budo, etc.) That will make up a total of 4.5 hours (3 times).
Day Trips
Each Wednesday, you will spend a full day on excursions, experiencing a mixture of cultural, historical and fun-filled attractions in Tokyo. All transportation fees, admission fees and lunches are included in the program fee.
Weekend Stay
During the first weekend, students can choose to experience a memorable full day and overnight stay at the Tokai University lodging facility at the foot of Mt. Fuji. The trip offers creative activities organized by our international and Japanese students, as well as shopping opportunities at outlet stores. This trip is a great opportunity for you to have fun in a relaxed way while still practicing Japanese conversation. The weekend stay is optional and an additional fee of 5,000 yen(approx.US$65) is required (3 meals are included in the price).
How to Apply
Requirements:
1. Applicants must be 16 years old or older. If you are under 18 years old, obtain your guardian’s (parent’s) consent before applying.
2. Applicants must be able to obtain a valid visa on their own.
* Please note that we require participants to purchase appropriate travel insurance before departure.
